Product Description

The Heinkel He 111 was the primary Luftwaffe medium bomber during the early stages of World War II, and is perhaps the most famous symbol of the German side of the Battle of Britain. The He 111 was produced in high numbers until 1944, as the war progressed the He 111 was used increasingly for the transport and re-supply role.

The H variant of the He 111 series saw more action during the Second World War than any other. At 14,000 kg take-off weight (carrying 2,000 kg of bombs internally), the He 111H achieved a top speed of 405 km/h at 6 km, improving to 435 km/h without the bomb load and at 50% fuel load. Still, this was considerably slower than the newer Junkers Ju 88 which entered service in 1940, so the He 111 was gradually withdrawn from the bomber role. The He 111 became a jack-of-all-trades as the war progressed, carrying out missions not even imagined even when the war started.

The vast majority of the 7,300 He 111s produced would be the H models, largely identical to the first H introduced in 1939.

The model is fully rigged for animation, and the product features four highly detailed and textured resolutions of the model.

This model is a 3DMax model, saved in version 7 as a MAX file, and requires 3DMax or Gmax to open the model. It does not include any other formats to allow it to be opened in any other software. The model is rigged where appropriate, and mapped and textured.
