Laugh if you like, but this damned near happened back in 1869 as the first transcontinental railroad as the CP and UP built right past each other (wanting to grab all those luscious Federal giveaways).
That said, I love this richly-deserved send-up of those obnoxious "inspirational posters" that infest corporate offices and school administration buildings.
