Product Description
China acquired over 200 Mosquitos, all were Canadian built and of various marks including the FB.26 (Canadian-built FB.VI). They eventually equipped three squadrons, and saw some combat in 1948/49 before the Nationalist forces retreated to Taiwan.
The de Havilland Mosquito was a British combat aircraft that excelled in a number of roles during the Second World War. Originally conceived as an unarmed fast bomber, uses of the Mosquito included: low to medium altitude daytime tactical bomber, high altitude night bomber, pathfinder, day or night fighter, fighter-bomber, intruder, maritime strike and photo reconnaissance aircraft. It was also used as the basis for a single-seat heavy fighter, the de Havilland Hornet. It served with the Royal Air Force (RAF) and many other air forces both in the Second World War and postwar. The Mosquito was known affectionately as the "Mossie" to its crews and was also known as "The Wooden Wonder" or "The Timber Terror" as the bulk of the aircraft was made of laminated plywood.
.: Product Features :. This model is a 3DMax model, saved in version 7 as a MAX file, and requires 3DMax to open the model. It does not include any other formats to allow it to be opened in any other software. The model is rigged where appropriate, and mapped and textured.
