Product Description
The Saab Viggen (Thunderbolt) or Saab 37 is a Swedish fighter aircraft manufactured between 1970 and 1990 to replace the Saab Draken (Dragon) - through upgrades still modern and with some almost unique features, in service with the Swedish air force in several versions, since 1971.
The name Viggen means The Thunderbolt, especially those resulting from the Norse god Thor`s warhammer Mjölner. The included camouflage has for many become synonymous with the Viggen, but it is actually used on other aircraft for low-level missions. The mix of these colors gives an effective concealment against terrain background, which in Sweden is often covered with forest.
